Softball Instruction
Softball hitting mechanics are pretty close to baseball. Even though the distance of the mound is shorter and the ball is coming underhand, it does not mean the hitting mechanics are that much different. You are still trying to hit a round ball with a bat that is crossing over the plate.
Unless you are developing a slap and run hitter, a rotational type of swing will give your daughter the best chance for success at a high-level. Even so, slap and run is not as popular as it once was. Coaches are starting to use it less. The bottom line is, you want to hit the ball hard.
There are no major differences between a solid rotational style swing in fast-pitch or baseball. There are some adjustments and refinements that are useful especially at higher levels of fast-pitch competition. Small adjustments may be a smaller load and a smaller stride.
We Drop Bombs Professional Hitting Academy will teach you to increase contact with minimal head movement and to maximize bat speed creating more of a powerful swing.
